In memory of Frank Grimes

If you're not a Simpson fan, than you probably don't know who Frank 'Grimey' Grimes is, but he was a character in an episode of the Simpson's where he is hired to work at the power plant. He is amazed at how successful Homer is even though Homer nearly kills himself a couple of times a day. Grimey goes over to Homers house and sees his family, Marge cooking lobster, Homer's Grammy and picture in space and can't believe a dufus like Homer lives such a lavish life.

He would have been an excellent socialist. Hardworking, dedicated and always questioning why he worked so hard but his life never seemed to get any better. Before he was electrocuted, he understood the struggle against the burgeiouse oppressor

Me on the other hand, I am a better Homer. I am proof that 90% of life is just showing up. (Knocking on wood) Life just hasn't been that hard for me. I slept through high school, I was drunk through my first 4 years in the AF, college was one very large party with tests and paper one weekend a quarter, and my last 4 years in the AF have been one long lunch break.

And its probably my fault. I should have dropped out of school and taken a job at the docks or at a record store, gotten a handicapped girl knocked up and been arrested a couple of times. I am afraid that because of my 'smart' life choices, I face two consequences. One, I am turning into a liberal. I listened to Hilary the other day, and I found myself nodding my head in agreeance. Fuck! Those assholes are just as bad a republicans. What was I doing. Two, I have no credibility when it comes to organizing the working class. I could tell them my mom and dad were both working class, but i am a petite bourgeoisie.
