Why its good to not be poor

What?! How can the socialist gambler make such a statement? Well maybe because I'm not an idiot. In the mail today (aside from packages, why do we still have mail?), I received my silver medallion Delta frequent flyer card. This is my first frequent flyer card. I never had one in the past because I was never able to fly the same airline more than once or twice a year maybe. I was always just stuck flying the cheapest possible airline no matter what the perks were.

But if you fly with the same guy all the time, which obviously costs more money, they start throwing shit at you. Free first class upgrades, additional frequent flyer miles, discounts on their 'executive waiting areas'.

So its good not being poor. Because if I was some broke ass white boy, I'd be stuck using travelocity, just hoping I didn't have 6 layovers on my flight from Minneapolis to Tampa.

The larger point is that we don't start on a level playing field. I'm sure Paris Hilton had more frequent flyer miles at the age of 9 than I'd ever get.
