No more Big Ticket

If its not official, it will be in a day or so. KG aka the Kid, aka the Big Ticket is leaving 'sota' and headed to Boston. I'm not a huge NBA guy. I really don't get into it until the playoffs, but I'm a serious homer when it comes to the Wolves.

On one side, its good to see KG finally move on and get another chance to actually put something together. The guy is definitely a hall of famer, but his teammates have basically sucked ass for the last 4 years.

On the other side, he is the best athlete in 'sota' since Kirby Pucket gave us 'tomorrow night'. KG was Minnesota basketball. Wally was popular only because he is white, the gophers have been faceless since we 'didn't' make the final four and Cassell/Sprewell combo were just paid assassins. KG was and is the man. I'm sure he'll be cheered when he returns to the target center for one game next year.

I'm pretty sure the wolves are headed to doom, but it wasn't like there was a ray of hope around the corner with Garnett. After the trade, they'll clear some cap space, get a few picks, and take a stab at a future with Al Green. I'll put it this way, I'm not betting the house on the wolves winning the west for the next 10 years.

Finally, the best thing that will probably happen is that they will finally let McHale go. They will win 30 games next year and make some bad move, signing someone for way to much money, and Glenn Taylor will finally pull the plug on the bum.
